Genetic Counseling Services
Our geneticist, R. Nathan Slotnick, specialize in the areas of prenatal genetics and
hereditary cancer genetics.
Hereditary cancer genetic counseling involves a thorough risk assessment, education,
testing recommendations & interpretation, and management recommendations for those
that have a personal and/or family history of certain cancers such as (but not limited to)
breast, ovarian, uterine, and colon cancer.
The goal of cancer genetic counseling is to provide an accurate risk assessment and the
appropriate information to the patient so that he or she may be able to make informed
decisions on whether to pursue testing, understand their results, and determine the best
medical management recommendations. You can learn more about the prenatal services
they provide by clicking on “Perinatal Associates” link to the left.
